Aromatherapy Recipes for Skin Care
|Acne|| A Steam Bath for Oily Skin and Acne|
6 drops Juniper Berry, 4 drops Lemon, 4 drops Cypress
Add the above essential oils to a bowl of Very Hot water. Hold a towel over your head and bend over the bowl, draping the towel over the bowl so the steam does not escape.
This will help to stimulate the skin on your face. After 5−10 minutes rinse your face with tepid − cool water. Pat dry.

|Dry Skin|| Face Blend for Dry Skin|
2 drops Neroli 1 drop Roman Chamomile,
15 ml.(1 tablespoon) Sweet Almond Oil
Blend oils with almond oil and use on your face. Use a few drops of this blended mixture as needed. Just remember the essential oils should be blended with the carrier oil at least 1-2 days in advance so the oils can blend thoroughly.
Healing, Nourishing Oil
3 drops Lavender, 1-2 drops patchouli, 1-2 drops geranium
Add to 25 ml apricot kernel oil.
Athlete's Foot||Athlete's Foot Relief Oil|
2 oz carrier oil, 10 drops Tea Tree, 8 drops Eucalyptus,
6 drops Myrrh, 6 drops Thyme
Place in a clean container and blend together. Apply a few drops directly to affected area. once or twice a day.
This will not cure Athletes foot over night. You should get relief within a day or two.
Be consistent and with continued use your feet will feel better quickly. Fungal infections - which is what Athlete's foot is, can take several weeks to be cured. Use this consistently for several weeks to eliminate the fungal infection.
|Stress Reliever|| A Massage for tense areas|
5 drops bergamot, 4 drops mandarin, 4 drops lavender, 4 drops nutmeg, 3 drops lemongrass. 20 ml carrier oil (4 tsp).
Massage the formula into the back of the neck, shoulders, along the back, especially the midsection and any other tense areas.
|Insect Repellant||Insect Repellant for Older Children and Adults|
4 drops Eucalyptus, 4 drops Rosemary, 4 drops Lavender,
4 drops Tea Tree, 1 ounce (30 ml) Coconut oil,refined.
Blend well and apply as needed, around the face, neck, wrists and ankles, anywhere those biting pests want to get you.
Because this mixture is fairly strong and has many strong oils, It should not be used on children under 5 years or on babies.
|Keep bugs off||Keep bugs off oil|
25 drops Cajuput, 19 drops Lemon, 19 drops Geranium,
13 drops Cedarwood Atlas, 2 oz (60 ml)Almond Oil.
Mix the essential oils with 2 ounces of Almond oil.
Apply a few drops of the oil to your palms and apply to arms, legs, neck and other exposed areas. Keep away from eyes and mouth.
|Warts||Removal of Warts|
1 drop Tea Tree or Lemon
Take a single drop of Tea Tree oil on the end of a toothpick and apply to the center of the wart. Put a dry bandage over the wart and keep it covered. Repeat daily until the wart shrivels and drops off. Some will disappear within a week, some will take a month. Once the wart has gone, massage a little wheat germ oil (which is rich in Vitamin E) until any scarring or soreness is healed. Lemon is an alternative to Tea Tree and can be used as an alternation.
