SOURCE: Steam distilled from wood chips preferably from the heartwood.
CHARACTERISTICS: Turpentine woody camphorlike top notes and deep sweet balsamic smoky undertones. Blends well with woods and also with jasmine, black pepper, frankincense, veiver, patchouli, rosemary and bergemot.
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES: antiseptic, antiseborrheic, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, insecticide, sedative.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Avoid during pregnancy
