SOURCE: Produced by steam distillation from the fruit.
CHARACTERISTICS: A pale yellow liquid with an intense lemony, fresh-fruity aroma (sweeter than lemongrass, but less tenacious). It blends well with elemi, mint, caraway, nutmeg, spice and citrus oils.
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES: antiseptic, deodorant, digestive, disinfectant, insecticidal, sedative, stomachic.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Non-toxic, non-irritant, possible sensitization.
